Welcome to The Cajun Traveler…more than just a travel blog
My full-time job as a College Professor allows me to travel more than the average person. The summers of 2012 and 2013 were the first time I took full advantage of this. I first traveled to 10 European countries in 2012 and then western United States in 2013. Since then I have traveled to over 40 different countries in Central America, South America, and Europe. I traveled alone staying with friends, in hostels, and airbnb homes.
I am now an avid airbnb host myself (Cajun Hostel) as a result of my great experiences during my western U.S. trip. Many of my facebook friends “followed me” as I made random posts throughout my travels. This is one of the things that encouraged me to start this blog. I have also held three live travel hacking seminars in my home town of Lafayette, Louisiana.
The bulk of my blog for now will contain photographs, stories, recommendations, etc. from these trips, that is until I embark on my next adventure. I hope you enjoy my blog! Feel free to make comments and you can also contact me at toby@thecajuntraveler.net
