Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, also affectionately known as “K.L.” is the national capital and most populated city in Malaysia. They also have 30 minute walk in foot massages for about $7.50 U.S. dollars. Win! Being my first time in Asia and only having Singapore to compare it to I was pretty excited to indulge right off the bus. Only later did I realize as you continue to move north from Singapore, everything gets cheaper including food, lodging (call in accommodation when traveling abroad), etc. I am typing this from my 6th floor $24 a night four star hotel (Mazi Design Hostel) in Phuket,Thailand. KL is kind of a hub city as well although it set in the southern party of Malaysia. I found myself traveling back to KL for one night after visiting a few islands. Local flights are pretty cheap from the airport there. KL is also known for the twin towers and it’s food. Cheap eats and huge varieties can be found on the streets just about everywhere you look.
An update with my travel course, I am still working out the details with a location. I should have some finalized details within the next few days and hopefully a link set up where my travel blog followers have a chance to register first. You may also notice a difference with my pics here as I had my own personal (and local) travel photographer with me while in KL. Enjoy!
Interesting in reading more about my travels around Malaysia? Check out my post about one of my favorite parts of the county, The Cameron Highlands!
